Broccoli Pakora / Broccoli Bajji

Broccoli Pakora /Broccoli Bajji :

Broccoli is a green plant, origin from Italy which belongs to the family of Cabbage.
In this recipe i am using this green vegetable to make Pakora or Bajji.

Broccoli Bajji is an appetizer, crunchy tea time snack which can be served with any sauce or chutney or just sprinkling chaat masala.

Ingredients :

Broccoli florets -10 to 15 Num
Gram flour ( Besan ) - 1 Cup
Rice flour - 1 Cup
Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
Red chilly powder - 1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 Tsp
Ajwain or Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Salt adjust to the taste
Water as needed
Oil for frying
Chaat Masala ( optional )

Method :

1. In a bowl mix Gram flour, Rice flour, Asafoetida, Ajwain, Red chilly powder, and Salt to taste.
2. Add water to make a smooth batter avoiding lumps. The batter should not be too thin or thick. It      should be of idly batter consistency.

3. Heat oil in a kadai on a medium flame.
4. Dip the Broccoli florets in a batter and make sure that the batter is coated evenly. Put the florets into the hot oil.
5.Fry the Pakoras until golden brown.
6. Remove the pakoras and drain the excess oil in a paper towel.
7. Serve pakoras hot with any sauce or Chutney or just sprinkling Chaat masala.
