Aloo gobi masala

Aloo gobi masala 

Aloo gobi masala is an Indian vegetarian dish. It is a classic combination of potato, cauliflower and green peas with some spices. It is a flavorful dish. Very good combination for rice, roti, naan or kulcha.

 Ingredients:

Cauliflower - 8 to 10 florets
Potato - 1 medium size chopped
Green peas - 1/2 Cup
Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Onion - 1 Medium size roughly chopped
Tomato - 1 Small roughly chopped
Green chilly - 1/2 or 1 
Ginger and Garlic - 1/2 inch
Peppercorns - 8 to 10 Num
Cloves - 1 Num
Cinnamon - Small piece
Turmeric - 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder - 1/2 Tsp
Oil - 3 to 4 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 Tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves - Handful

Method :

1. In a pan add 1 tsp of oil, ginger garlic, peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon and green chilly.

2, Add onion and fry till it turns brown.

3. Add tomato and fry for few minutes.

4. Allow fried ingredients to come to room temperature then add to the mixing jar along with turmeric and red chilly powder.

5. Grind to the fine paste.

6. In a kadai add oil and cumin seeds. Let it splutter. Then add all the veggies. And fry for few minutes. No need to cook completely.

7. Add the pureed gravy to the veggies.

8. Add 2 cups of water, salt to taste and close the lid. Let it boil till the veggies cook.

9. When all the veggies cooked add garam masala and finely chopped coriander leaves.

10. Serve hot Aloo gobi masala with rice or any Indian bread.
